Background

LGALS14, also known as Galectin14, belongs to the galectin family of carbohydrate binding proteins. This protein is expressed intracellularly in placenta and eosinophils and is released by eosinophils following allergen stimulation. It may be involved in the development of allergic inflammation. Recombinant human LGALS14 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
