Immunogen	Sheep T cell blasts
Specificity	NB100-65316 recognizes ovine CD2, a 55kD cell surface antigen. Ovine CD2 is expressed by peripheral T cells expressing CD4 or CD8, but not by the CD4/CD8 negative subset, which comprises approximately 20% of cells in peripheral blood. In the thymus most cells express low levels of CD2. In immunohistochemical studies tissue macrophages in lymph nodes are found to be CD2 +ve. NB100-65316 blocks sheep autologous E rosetting.
